Reindeer collar from the 1920s was made by Antti Salomoninpoika (Kaijuna) Näkkäläjärvi from Enontekiö for his daughter Karen Maria. The collar has been scarcely used because it was a bit too large. Näkkäläjärvi toured Alta on the Arctic Sea coast of Norway to sell his products. The Sámi people are the only aboriginal people in the European Union. Currently about 10,000 of them live in Finland, and some of them have one of the Sami languages as their mother tongue.
